À l’UDPS, Augustin Kabuya est démis de ses fonctions de secrétaire général.
La décision a été prise la par la Convention démocratique du parti (CDP), un « organe suprême » de l’UDPS, à l’issue d’une session extraordinaire qui a eu lieu ce dimanche à Kinshasa.
Augustin Kabuya a été accusé de mégestion par presque tous les secrétaires nationaux de l’UDPS, qui ont également appelé à sa démission.
Dans sa décision, la CDP dit avoir adopté toutes les résolutions d’une commission de médiation qui a été mise en place dans le cadre de la résolution de cette crise au sein du parti présidentiel.
La CDP a confié l’intérim de secrétaire général du parti à monsieur Deogratias Bizumu Balola, l’un des adjoints d’Augustin Kabuya.
« Le Bureau de la CDP a constaté plusieurs déclarations et mouvements allant, les uns, dans un sens et les autres, dans un autre, mettant ainsi le Parti dans une confusion totale. (…) Monsieur Augustin Kabuya Tshilumba est relevé de ses fonctions de secrétaire général de l’Union pour la Démocratie et le Progrès Social, UDPS/TSHISEKEDI (…). Monsieur Deogratias Bizumu Balola, secrétaire général adjoint du Parti, est préséant et assume dès ce jour les fonctions de secrétaire général ad intérim_», a pris cette résolution la CDP.
Signalons qu’il a été également décidé de la mise en place d’une commission d’audit pour contrôler la gestion administrative et financière de l’UDPS à partir de l’année 2019.
Interrogé après sa sortie de l’hôpital à propos de la crise au sein de son parti, le chef de l’État, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, n’a pas souhaité faire beaucoup de commentaires. Il a seulement affirmé que la solution à la situation allait se trouvait.
